The Ashley House Bed & Breakfast is located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of North Arkansas. Melbourne is a rural, family-oriented community with easy access to many area attractions. A short drive will take you to White River, famous for trout fishing and Nofork Lake, which offers a wide variety of water sports. Built in the late 1800's, the current owners remodeled the former home of Senator John Ashley in 1999, turning the house into a bed and breakfast that quickly became a popular destination for vacationers and business travelers alike.
Each room has its own bath and television. All guests have access to the parlor area which provides snacks, an ice machine and coffee pot. Guests can find comfortable seating, either in the front room or on the wrap-around porch. High speed wireless internet is available in all areas of the building.
We are near the Izard County Courthouse, Ozarka College, and the Educational Service Center. Melbourne's free library and museum offer a wealth of information to those doing research, and several shops provide a variety of interesting merchandise. Local restaurants offer fare from steaks, pasta and seafood, to burgers and fries.
