As you enter Melbourne from the East on Highway 69, you will go through the only stoplight in town. Up ahead on the right, you will see a Fred's Dollar Store. The Ashley House is on the left, directly across from Fred's.
If you enter Melbourne from the North or West, you will be traveling on Highway 9. As you come into the main area of town, you will see Mark Martin Chevrolet at the intersection of 9 North and West, and this is the beginning poin of Highway 69 East. Go East on Highway 69. You will pass the County Courthouse on your right. Up ahead on the left is a strip mall, with Fred's Dollar Store being at the end of the mall on your left. The Ashley House in on your right, directly across from Fred's.
Melbourne is in the North central portion of Arkansas, at the foohills of the Ozark Mountains. If you are traveling from Little Rock, take 67/167 to Bald Knob. At Bald Knob, go left on Highway 167 until you reach Batesville. At Batesville, go north on Highway 69, which takes you approximately 30 miles into Melbourne.
If you are traveling from the North, Highway 9 brings you into Melbourne from the Missouri border. From Harrison/Mtn. Home, take Highway 5 to Highway 56 at Calico Rock, then take Highway 56 East to Brockwell, then south, or right, on Highway 9 to Melbourne. Mark Martin Chevrolet is on your right. Highway 69 begins in a curve to the left.
From the Mtn. View area, take Highway 9 at Sylamore and cross the White River. Continue on Highway 9 into Melbourne. Mark Martin Chevrolet is on your left. At this point, go straight ahead on Highway 69.
From the Jonesboro area, take Highway 412 to Ash Flat. At Ash Flat, take Highway 56 West to Brockwell, then South on Highway 9 into Melbourne.
